Do you sometimes have trouble relating to your students? Have you ever wondered why student A can never stay awake in class or student B never speaks, but been too afraid to ask them why? Sometimes, our kids are from very different experiences and backgrounds than we are and it can be difficult to relate to them. It's also important to know how their lives shape their learning. This workshop aims to raise awareness about the diversity you can experience in your classroom and how to treat each student equitably so that they are willing to work for you and reach their fullest potential in your class.
